Anonymous asked: ATE APRIL KILALA MO SI JENNA HAMILTON? haha :D
Yes, I watch awkward, sucks wala pang season 2!!
Just because I’m waiting for Awkward. to load so might as well post something here. I’ve been itching to share this little discovery of mine but yea, I just don’t. Last January I went for a domestic trip in south island and lol recently discovered about Web Check-ins which some of you may already know. Well, if you’re a type of person just like I am who always prefers to do things the old fashion or traditional way, yea, this is one hella of a discovery.
For travel junkies, lite travellers, backpackers or budget travellers whoever, whichever this is perfect for us. Why? Easy breezy, 48 hrs before your flight you can check yourself in and choose the window seat or the aisle seat you always wanted. Haha, No more discomfort of seating in between of strangers which I find awkwaaaaaard. LOL. No more running at the airport tryna catch up that 30 mins before the flight check-ins.
BUT…
Lol, you know there’s always a but in every good thing, HAHA. I specifically said lite travellers, why? This perfectly suit those who obviously JUST bring carry-on luggages, that tiny tiny stroll bag weighs bout 10-15kgs. Fair enough, it takes time to put check-in luggages at the plane and stuff, they already made it convenient for passengers na nga telling ‘em at least 30 mins departure e.
THE PROCESS:
Well, I haven’t discovered it with Air New Zealand but their Kiosk Check-in systems are convenient too, will share about it some other time so yea I’ve only done it with Jetstar.
Just visit their website www.jetstar.com. Search for Web Check-ins and that’s it, instructions are clear and easy to follow, well, you must at least have your booking reference. Then they’ll made you choose whether you wanted your boarding pass to be sent thru email or via text. I was a bit puzzled when they said text for a while cos how the hell can you send a bar code in a text. (Cos whenever you board the plane they scan for bar codes, right? ish.) Anyway, I choose text cos papers are hassle, you always find yourself looking all over your bag when you’re about to board cos you seem to misplace it, lol, do you have the same experience din ba? and mobile phones you can’t let go of it every time.
And so you’ll receive a text message like this:

And when I received it I was like, huh!? How will they scan this? Well, surprisingly, (yea, typical, techie noob like I am -.-) when you board the plane aside from the bar code scanner, if you’re observant enough they usually have that kiosk thing which I haven’t notice at all wherein you insert your phone and reads this “code” then voila! I’m boarded and given a receipt like to tell where I am seated.
Good stuff aye? Arrived 15 mins before the flight without worrying of being late and waiting at the airport for too long (the anticipation of flying, some people even though how much they travel they always have that fear).
I reckon it works best for individual travellers like I am who travels lite and domestically. Internationally, hmm, maybe but you always bring heaps of stuff if its abroad e making it sure that you won’t forget anything. Still can be done if you have to be checked-in luggage well at least you hold a seat na just a lil sacrifice of 30 mins to bring your bag to the staff na lanf. So yea, that’s about it, REMEMER, my post is not a detailed one so there are still terms and conditions needed to be read.
And my Awkward. episode is fully loaded so TA TA!
Have a safe flight!
